18 Companies accredited as an information point for the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism in Sierra Nevada National Natural Park

As of February 2011, 18 companies (14 lodgings, 1 restaurant, 1 company of active tourism, 1 spa and 1 local food store) have been accredited as tourist information points for the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism (ECST) in the Sierra Nevada National Natural Park (PNPNSN). This has achievement has increased the number of companies collaborating with the PNPNSN and thus the number of visitors aware of the protected area and better quality information.

In 2007, 11 companies were accredited in Sierra Nevada and this year all of them along with 7 other new ones have signed the partnership agreement with the Ministry of Environment and the Forum Association of CETS to renew or start their membership to the network of Information Centers created because of the Charter.
